This document contains Amazon's complete A+ Content Guidelines. All content must comply with these rules to avoid rejection.

## Top Content Issues (Most Common Rejections)

### Pricing or Promotional Details
- **NOT ALLOWED**: pricing, promotional details, discounts
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "affordable," "bonus," "free," "cheap"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "buy now," "add to cart," "get yours now," "shop with us"

### Customer Reviews
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Customer reviews in A+ Content
- Use Amazon Author Central for Editorial Reviews instead

### Time-Sensitive Information
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "now," "new," "latest," "yet," "on sale now"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "the latest product," "the best yet"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: References to holidays or Kindle Unlimited

### Publication Quotes
- **MAXIMUM**: Four quotes or endorsements allowed
- **REQUIRED**: Must be from well-known publications or public figures
- **REQUIRED**: Must include author name and publication title (if applicable)

## Image and Text Formatting

### Image Requirements
- **File types**: JPG and PNG only (RGB colorspace, not CYMK)
- **File size**: Under 2 MB per file
- **Resolution**: Minimum 72 DPI
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Animated images (GIF), blurry/low quality images, watermarks
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Small text that's unreadable on mobile devices

### Alt-Text Requirements
- Alt-text must accurately describe the image
- Must be useful for screen reader users
- Rejection if alt-text doesn't describe the image

### Image Content Rules
- Images must be unique to A+ (don't reuse from product image gallery)
- Only ONE brand logo allowed
- Icons only if they help navigation
- Partner logos allowed only if logical/beneficial
- Must have all necessary rights to use logos/symbols

### Text Formatting Rules
- **Numbers**: Spell out all numbers under 10
- **Punctuation**: Use consistent punctuation and serial (Oxford) commas
- **Headers**: Capitalize each major word
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Grammatical errors, misspellings, all-caps strings
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Abusing font features, unnecessary/repeated information
- **Formatting**: Bold and italic only for headings or select words
- **Language**: Content must be in specified language only (no HTML tags)

## Claims and Awards

### Award/Endorsement Requirements
- **REQUIRED**: Include date when award was achieved
- **REQUIRED**: Include organization granting the award
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Awards received more than 2 years ago

### Certification Claims
Claims like "recommended by," "certified," "tested," "approved," "proven," "validated" require:
- Note in text with certifying/awarding body
- Study, publication, or other evidence
- Year of certification

### Environmental Claims
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "eco-friendly," "biodegradable," "compostable" (text or images)
- **ALLOWED WITH SUBSTANTIATION**: "recyclable" or "ecological"
  - Must include materials used or certifying body and year

### Satisfaction and Boastful Claims
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "100% satisfaction guaranteed"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "#1 rated," "top-rated," and similar claims

### Health Claims
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Claims to cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent diseases
- Applies to: drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, beverages, food, health products, vitamins, supplements
- Other health-related claims require substantiation

## Content Restrictions

### Prohibited Information
- **Guarantee information**: No return/refund policy references
- **Shipping details**: No "free shipping" or shipping information
- **QR codes**: Not allowed
- **Personal information**: No phone numbers, addresses, emails
- **Customer service**: No off-Amazon contact information

### Quote and Attribution Rules
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Quotes from individuals, customers, or private figures
- **MAXIMUM**: Four quotes/endorsements total
- **ALLOWED**: Well-known publications or public figures (with author and publication title)

### Comparison Rules
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Competitor comparisons (by name, as "others," or otherwise)
- **ALLOWED**: Comparison charts comparing books in YOUR KDP account only

### Promotional Language
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Pricing, promotional details, discounts
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "affordable," "cheap," "bonus," "free"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "buy now," "add to cart," "get yours now"

### Time-Sensitive Language
- **NOT ALLOWED**: "now," "new," "latest," "yet," "on sale now"
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Holiday references

### Trademark and Copyright
- **ALLOWED**: Trademark/copyright symbols if reasonable size AND:
  - Already on product packaging, OR
  - Always displayed as part of logo
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Stand-alone symbols
- **REQUIRED**: Remove symbols from text copy

### Links and Redirects
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Web links to sites outside Amazon
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Language redirecting to other sites
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Links to your other products

### Prohibited Content
- **NOT ALLOWED**: Hate speech, child exploitation, pornography, rape/pedophilia glorification, terrorism advocacy

- **NOT ALLOWED**: Content mimicking Amazon logos or detail page headings
- **ALLOWED**: References to Amazon-supported programs or branded products

## Compliance
- Must have all necessary rights for images and text
