# Field Events

Treat the event as one moment in a before, during, and after system. Attendance or badge scans do not prove commercial value.

If `.agents/marketing-context.md` exists, read it first; it is the truth file every skill in this hub shares, and its evidence states are constraints. Read [event-system.md](references/event-system.md) for portfolio choice, the universal arc, webinars, sponsorship, attending, speaking, the content engine, and measurement.

## Operating contract

1. Define audience, customer job, commercial job, event role, cost, staffing, capacity, rights, data handling, and follow-up owner.
2. Evaluate events as a portfolio against audience fit, access, evidence, total cost, opportunity cost, and reuse.
3. Build the pre-event, live, and post-event journey with complete assets and handoffs.
4. Verify organizer claims, participant consent, platform features, venue rules, accessibility, and lead-data terms.
5. Require authorization before booking, sponsoring, outreach, registration imports, recording, or publication.

Do not inflate event ROI with badge scans, impressions, or unsupported pipeline attribution, or collect badges and automate outreach indiscriminately.

## Return

Role and portfolio decision, audience value, budget, run-of-show, assets, responsibilities, rights and compliance, lead handling, follow-up, measurement, cancellation, and incident plan.
