You can launch this without coding. I recommend a mobile-friendly online shop rather than commissioning a custom app.

Assumptions:

- One bakery location
- Customers order for pickup or local delivery
- You sell standard items plus occasional custom cakes
- You need card and digital-wallet payments

Recommended setup:

1. Use Square Online if it supports payments in your country. Otherwise use Shopify.
2. Add your menu, prices, photos, allergens, and available quantities.
3. Enable online checkout with card and digital-wallet payments.
4. Add pickup times, delivery areas, delivery fees, and minimum order rules.
5. Use the built-in order dashboard to mark orders as “New,” “Preparing,” “Ready,” and “Completed.”
6. Send automatic customer confirmations and pickup notifications.
7. Add a custom-cake request form requiring a deposit.

Basic customer journey:

`Menu → Cart → Pickup/delivery details → Online payment → Confirmation`

SMART metric: within 30 days of launch, have at least 90% of online orders paid online and recorded automatically, with no handwritten order entry.

Expected cost: a monthly platform fee plus payment-processing fees. A custom native iPhone/Android app is unnecessary at first and would cost substantially more.
