# Apple HIG: Perception, meaning and adaptable presentation

Use this family to select and compose topic procedures. Infer the platform and
requested work from the supplied project; preserve its framework and constraints.

## Work through the decision

1. Identify the actual barrier or design decision: readability, visual hierarchy, imagery meaning, movement, locale, privacy or spatial placement. Choose the corresponding topic procedure rather than loading every foundation.
2. For text access, combine Typography with Accessibility only where size, reflow or reading alternatives matter. Use VoiceOver when grouping, semantics or navigation needs a procedure of its own.
3. For color/material decisions, separate content hierarchy from controls and evaluate the actual appearance/background/settings context. Preserve semantic meaning when appearance changes.
4. Deliver prioritized evidence-backed corrections or a concrete presentation specification. Distinguish inspected contrast/layout evidence from runtime and assistive-technology checks still needed.

inspect actual evidence and return findings; for an implementation request, make
the authorized change; for design or adaptation, produce a usable specification
