# Figma Cracked Desktop Client
> Skill by [ara.so](https://ara.so) — Design Skills collection.
This project provides an unofficial desktop client for Figma, enabling collaborative interface design, prototyping, and FigJam whiteboarding outside of the browser. It offers a native desktop experience for working with Figma's component systems, auto-layout, dev mode, and collaborative features.
## What This Project Does
Figma-cracked is a desktop wrapper for Figma that provides:
- Native desktop application experience for Figma
- Access to full Figma design tools (components, auto-layout, vector networks)
- FigJam whiteboarding capabilities
- Prototyping and dev mode features
- Better system integration than web browser version
- Offline capabilities where supported

### Application Settings
The application stores configuration in standard OS locations:
**Linux**: `~/.config/figma-cracked/config.json`
**macOS**: `~/Library/Application Support/figma-cracked/config.json`
**Windows**: `%APPDATA%/figma-cracked/config.json`
### Basic Configuration
```json
{
"windowBounds": {
"width": 1440,
"height": 900,
"x": 0,
"y": 0
},
"zoomFactor": 1.0,
"hardwareAcceleration": true,
"autoUpdate": true,
"theme": "system"
}
```
### Custom User Agent
Edit the configuration to set a custom user agent:
```json
{
"userAgent": "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36"
}
```

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/figma-cracked/Cache/
# On Windows
rmdir /s "%APPDATA%\figma-cracked\Cache"
```
## Advanced Configuration
### Custom Launch Script
Create a launcher script for custom settings:
```bash
#!/bin/bash
# ~/bin/figma-custom.sh
export FIGMA_DISABLE_GPU=false
export FIGMA_SCALE_FACTOR=1.5
# Launch with custom flags
/usr/bin/figma-cracked \
--enable-features=UseOzonePlatform \
--ozone-platform=wayland \
--disable-gpu-sandbox \
"$@"
```
### Environment Variables
```bash
# Disable hardware acceleration
export FIGMA_DISABLE_GPU=true
# Set custom cache directory
export FIGMA_CACHE_DIR=/tmp/figma-cache
# Enable debug logging
export FIGMA_DEBUG=true
export ELECTRON_ENABLE_LOGGING=true
# Launch application
figma-cracked
```
figma-cracked --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland
```
### Login/Authentication Problems
```bash
# Clear session data
rm -rf ~/.config/figma-cracked/Session\ Storage/
# Linux/macOS
chmod -R 755 ~/.config/figma-cracked/
chown -R $USER:$USER ~/.config/figma-cracked/
# Verify writable
touch ~/.config/figma-cracked/test.txt && rm ~/.config/figma-cracked/test.txt
```
### Performance Optimization
```bash
# Increase memory limit
figma-cracked --js-flags="--max-old-space-size=4096"
# Enable performance features
figma-cracked --enable-gpu-rasterization --enable-zero-copy
```

```bash
# Bypass proxy for debugging
figma-cracked --no-proxy-server
# Use system proxy settings
figma-cracked --proxy-auto-detect
# Manual proxy
