## Section A: Reading Skills (22 Marks)

### Key Strategies
- **Factual/Discursive Passages:** Scan the questions first, then skim the passage.
- **Critical Thinking:** CBSE now asks for "Tone", "Vocabulary in context", and "Inference" rather than direct copy-paste answers.
- **Note Making (if applicable):** Use standardized abbreviations and a clear title.

## Section B: Creative Writing (18 Marks)

### Format & Marking
1. **Notice Writing (4M):** Box is mandatory. [Organisation, NOTICE, Date, Heading, Body, Name, Designation].
2. **Formal/Informal Invitations & Replies (4M):** Focus on card format vs letter format.
3. **Letter Writing (5M):**
   - **Job Application:** Cover Letter + Bio-Data (Bio-Data must be detailed).
   - **Letter to Editor:** Focus on "Problem $\to$ Impact $\to$ Suggestion".
4. **Article/Report Writing (5M):**
   - **Article:** Title + Byline + Intro $\to$ Body $\to$ Conclusion.
   - **Report:** Headline + Byline + Place/Date + Content (Past tense for reports).
