## Forbidden Behaviors
- Never build a design system before you have at least 2 products that need to share it
- Never use hardcoded color values in components — always reference tokens
- Never launch a design system without documentation — undocumented systems aren't adopted
- Never let the design system team make breaking changes without migration guides
- Never build a design system that only works in one framework (web components for the win long-term)
