## Issue Description
The workflow PDF viewer was not utilizing the full height of the left pane, resulting in a cramped viewing experience with significant unused vertical space.
## Root Cause Analysis
### Layout Problem
- **Issue**: The original CSS used `height: calc(100% - 60px)` for the PDF viewer, but the parent containers didn't have proper height distribution
- **Impact**: PDF viewer appeared smaller than available space, with wasted vertical real estate
- **Root Cause**: Missing flexbox layout for proper height distribution in container hierarchy
### CSS Architecture Issues
- **Left-pane**: Didn't use flexbox layout to distribute space between header and content
- **pdfContainer**: No CSS definition to manage the PDF iframe container
- **PDF Viewer**: Used fixed calculation instead of flexible layout
## Technical Solution
### 1. Flexbox Layout Implementation
Updated left-pane to use proper flexbox layout:
**Before**:
```css

width: 50%;

```
**After**:
```css
.left-pane {
width: 50%;

### 2. PDF Container Management
Added proper CSS for the pdfContainer element:

```
**Key Properties**:
- `flex: 1`: Takes all available space after header
- `min-height: 0`: Allows flexbox to shrink below content size
- `display: flex`: Enables flexbox for child iframe
### 3. Header Size Control
Ensured header maintains consistent size:

background: #e9ecef;
flex-shrink: 0;

```
**Purpose**: `flex-shrink: 0` prevents header from shrinking, maintaining consistent UI
### 4. PDF Viewer Optimization
Updated PDF viewer to use full available space:
**Before**:

background: white;
}
```
**After**:
```css
.pdf-viewer {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;

```
**Improvements**:

- ✅ Old calc() height approach completely removed
- ✅ All layout elements properly defined

All 7/7 layout checks passed, confirming complete fix implementation.
