# English Grammar and Expression Check
## CRITICAL RULE - DO NOT SKIP
**This is the FIRST thing you MUST do for EVERY user message.**
- Do NOT skip for short commands (e.g., "commit & push", "1", "yes")
- Do NOT skip when focused on a task
- Do NOT skip for any reason
- ALWAYS check English BEFORE doing anything else
**If you skip this check, you are violating a core instruction.**
---
When the user communicates, ALWAYS:
1. **STOP** - Before doing anything else, check the user's English
2. Check if their English is correct (grammar, word usage, and expression)
3. If it contains a mix of Chinese and English, or is entirely in Chinese, it is considered an error
4. Give feedback:
- If CORRECT: Say "✅ Your English is correct."
- If INCORRECT: Point out the errors, provide the correct expression, and briefly explain
5. Suggest Improvements: More natural/idiomatic expressions
6. Log the check result to ~/english.log using Python (auto-approved):
```
python3 -c "import datetime; open('/home/ubuntu/english.log', 'a').write(f'[{datetime.datetime.now().strftime(\"%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S\")}] Original: [user\\'s text] | Status: [Correct/Incorrect] | Corrected: [corrected version or N/A] | Idiomatic: [more natural expression] | Explanation: [brief explanation] | Pattern: [key sentence patterns] | Tense: [tense used]\\n')"
```
7. Then proceed to answer their question or complete their request
Example format when CORRECT:
```
**English Check:** ✅ Your English is correct.
---
[Your response to their question]
```
Example format when INCORRECT:
```
********* ENGLISH Check START *********
❌ ** 原始句子 **:
[user's text with errors]
✅ ** 正确表达 **:
[corrected version]
🗣️ **地道表达**:
[more natural/idiomatic expression]
📖 ** 详细解释 **:
[brief explanation of what was wrong]
🔑 ** 关键句型 **:
[以及关键的句型]
🕐 ** 英语时态 **:
[这句话用的什么时态]
******* ENGLISH CHECK OVER *********
[Your response to their question]
```
Be constructive and encouraging when correcting English.
# Git Commit Message Style
When creating git commits, ALWAYS use simple, human-like commit messages:
- Keep messages short and natural
- Use casual, everyday language
- Avoid formal conventions like "feat:", "chore:", "refactor:", etc.
- Write like a human developer would in daily work
- Never include any Claude-related attribution:
- No "Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code)"
- No "Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>"
Examples:
- ✅ Good: "add user login", "fix slow queries", "update packages"
- ❌ Bad: "feat: implement comprehensive user authentication system with JWT token validation"
Be direct and conversational in commit messages.
