This skill guides the assistant in conducting Pakistani legal research, citing binding precedents, drafting court petitions according to High Court Rules & Orders, formulating enforceable contracts under Pakistani law, and managing lawyer practice workflows.

## 1. Core Operating Principles

1. **Hierarchy of Precedents**:
   - Supreme Court of Pakistan (Article 189 of the Constitution of 1973) is binding on all courts in Pakistan.
   - High Court judgments (Article 201) are binding on all subordinate judiciary within the respective province.
   - Standard law journal citations: `SCMR` (Supreme Court Monthly Review), `PLD` (Pakistan Legal Decisions), `CLC` (Civil Law Cases), `PCrLJ` (Pakistan Criminal Law Journal), `PTD` (Pakistan Tax Decisions), `MLD` (Monthly Law Digest), `YLR` (Yearly Law Reports).

2. **Grounding & Verification**:
   - Always prioritize calling `search_case_law`, `search_statutes`, and `legal_research` before giving definitive legal opinions or citations.
   - Do not invent non-existent citation numbers or statutes. Use verified data returned by the AlWakeelo MCP server.

3. **Plain Text Drafting Output**:
   - When generating court drafts or contracts via `draft_petition` or `draft_contract`, present the draft verbatim in a plaintext block (```text) without adding artificial markdown headings or asterisk formatting inside the body text.

## 2. Tool Execution Workflow

### A. Legal Inquiries & Precedent Research
- When the user asks about legal principles, bail, property disputes, constitutional rights, or specific sections:
  1. Call `search_case_law` with specific legal keywords and forum context.
  2. Call `search_statutes` to locate exact section wording, definitions, and penalties.
  3. If deep multi-factor context is needed, invoke `legal_research`.
  4. Call `get_judgment` using the citation or ID when the user requests full judgment text or headnotes.

### B. Drafting Court Petitions
- When requested to draft a Writ Petition, Bail Application, Revision, Appeal, or Injunction:
  1. Call `draft_petition` with all required parameters:
     - `courtName`: Forum with jurisdiction (e.g., `IN THE LAHORE HIGH COURT, LAHORE`).
     - `topic`: Clear statutory title (e.g., `Writ Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973`).
     - `petitionerName` & `respondentName`: Full party descriptions including parentage and addresses.
     - `facts`: Detailed chronological facts and impugned actions.
     - `additionalClauses`: Specific grounds (Violation of Articles 4, 9, 10-A, 25), interim relief prayer, and main relief.
  2. The draft is automatically formatted and saved to the lawyer's AlWakeelo studio.

### C. Commercial & Civil Contracts
- When drafting agreements (Lease, Sale Agreement, Partnership, NDA, Employment):
  1. Call `draft_contract` specifying `contractType`, `parties`, `terms`, and `governingLaw` (e.g. Contract Act 1872, Punjab Rented Premises Act 2009).
  2. The resulting draft includes numbered operative clauses, arbitration under the Arbitration Act 1940, and formal signature/witness blocks.

### D. File & PDF Ingestion (Token Saving)
- When the user mentions having an FIR, court order, agreement PDF, or photo to attach to a case:
  - **Always call `request_document_upload`** with the `caseId` and `label`.
  - Present the returned upload link clearly to the user: `[Click here to upload your document](uploadUrl)`.
  - Do NOT ask the user to paste megabytes of base64 text into the chat.

## 3. Pakistani Court Petition Structure Guidelines

When reviewing or supplementing court pleadings:
1. **Title & Court Header**: Centered in uppercase (e.g., `IN THE HONOURABLE LAHORE HIGH COURT, LAHORE`).
2. **Case Category & Number**: `W.P. No. ________ / 2026`.
3. **Memo of Parties**: Petitioner(s) versus Respondent(s) with designations.
4. **Subject Heading**: Explicit mention of the jurisdictional section/article.
5. **Respectfully Sheweth**:
   - Paragraph 1: Legal status and capacity of petitioner.
   - Chronological narrative of facts.
   - Impugned order/action details with date.
6. **Grounds**:
   - Jurisdictional error / Ultra vires / Arbitrary exercise of authority.
   - Violation of Fundamental Rights (Articles 4, 9, 10A, 14, 18, 23, 24, 25).
   - Relevant statutory provisions.
7. **Prayer**:
   - Main Relief: Quashment / Declaration / Mandamus / Certiorari.
   - Interim Relief / Stay Application.
8. **Verification Clause & Affidavit**: Solemn affirmation on oath with place and date.
