Create product-led SEO strategies that turn product value, user intent, page architecture, taxonomy, and scalable user experiences into organic growth. Use when a user asks for SEO strategy, organic growth planning, content/product SEO, programmatic SEO direction, search moat creation, or wants to avoid keyword-list SEO.

# Product-Led SEO Strategy
Use this skill to plan SEO from the product outward: who the user is, what they need, what product surface can satisfy that need, how the site architecture scales, and how the work compounds over time.
This skill is derived from Eli Schwartz's *Product-Led SEO* and uses transformed guidance with durable book-topic references. Do not copy book prose into user outputs.
## Quick Start
1. Load `guidelines.md` to choose the smallest useful reference set.
2. Use `workflows/create-seo-strategy.md` for a full strategy.
3. Anchor recommendations in user demand, product usefulness, and business outcomes.
4. Treat keyword data as supporting evidence, not the starting point.
5. Deliver concrete product/page ideas, required teams, measurement plan, and risks.
## Default Output
When the user asks for a strategy, return:
1. **Strategic thesis** - the user demand and product-led SEO angle.
2. **Product surface** - pages, templates, taxonomy, tools, databases, or content experiences to build.
3. **Moat** - why this is difficult to copy.
4. **Execution plan** - phases, owners, dependencies, and launch sequence.
5. **Measurement** - impressions, clicks, conversions, business proxy metrics, and learning loops.
6. **Risks** - weak assumptions, technical constraints, content quality, and resource gaps.
7. **Next actions** - the first 3-7 tasks.
## Contents
| Need | Start Here |
|------|------------|
| Understand the model | `references/core/knowledge.md` |
| Apply strategy rules | `references/core/rules.md` |
| See examples and rewrites | `references/core/examples.md` |
| Build a full plan | `workflows/create-seo-strategy.md` |
| Route by task | `guidelines.md` |
## Core Posture
- Start with real users and product value.
- Prefer scalable product surfaces over isolated keyword pages.
- Create search demand or capture long-tail demand where tools undercount volume.
- Use content only when it helps the user do something useful.
- Plan for compounding: slow early signals can become durable growth.
- Keep strategy stable while tactics adapt to user behavior and search changes.
