Find the unique angle only this member can take — the knowledge, perspective, or industry gap nobody else in their niche is covering. Use when a member says "find my gap", "what should only I post about", "what's my unique angle", "help me find original content ideas", or when they've been recreating for a while and want to start producing original thought.

# Gap Finder — The Angle Only You Can Take
Recreating what's working builds consistency and confidence. But at some point, the real asset is what only you know.
The gap is the space between what's trending and what only you can say. It shows up three ways: a knowledge gap nobody's applied to your niche yet, an industry gap where your expertise transfers somewhere unexpected, or a perspective gap where a popular take is missing something obvious to you.
This skill finds it.
---
## Phase 1: Load the Brain
Read all of these before doing anything:
- `~/.claude/CLAUDE.md`
- `~/.claude/brand-voice.md`
- `~/.claude/icp.md`
- `~/.claude/offer.md`
- `~/.claude/what-works.md`
You need the full picture — what they know, who they serve, what they've been posting, and what's already working.
If CLAUDE.md is missing or sparse:
> "Your content brain doesn't have enough in it yet for me to find your specific gap. Run /brain-builder first — the more I know about your background and expertise, the more precise this gets."
---
## Phase 2: Get the Context
**Option A — Member pastes trending content:**
They paste a post, thread, or video that's getting traction in their niche. This is the anchor — you're finding the gap relative to what's already out there.
**Option B — No content pasted:**
Run a web search for what's performing in their niche right now. Use their CLAUDE.md to identify the right keywords and platforms.
Search pattern:
- Reddit: top posts in their niche subreddits, past week
- LinkedIn: top posts in their niche, past 7 days
- YouTube: trending videos in their niche, past 30 days
Identify the 3–5 most common angles being covered. These are what everybody's saying. The gap is what nobody's saying — but the member can.
---
## Phase 3: Find the Three Gaps
Analyze the trending content against the member's CLAUDE.md context. Look for these specifically:
**The Knowledge Gap**
What expertise does the member have that nobody is applying to the trending topic? What do they know from their specific field, client work, or experience that would reframe how people think about this?
Signs of a knowledge gap: "Everyone's talking about X, but nobody's mentioned Y — and I've been using Y with clients for three years."
**The Industry Gap**
What principle or framework exists in the member's world that would be completely new, surprising, or immediately useful to people in an adjacent space?
Signs of an industry gap: The member works in field A. The trending topic is being covered by people in field B. The member knows something from field A that directly applies but hasn't crossed over yet.
**The Perspective Gap**
What's the popular take missing? What does everyone assume to be true that the member's experience contradicts? What's the "yes, but actually..." reaction they have when they see this content?
Signs of a perspective gap: "That take is only half right. Here's the part they're not saying."

## Output Format
### GAP ANALYSIS — [Their Niche]
**What everybody's saying right now:**
[2–3 sentences summarizing the dominant angles being covered. Be specific — name the actual arguments, not just the topic.]
---
**Gap 1 — The Knowledge Gap**
[Title: what the gap is in plain language]
What they know that nobody's saying: [2–3 sentences — draw directly from their CLAUDE.md context, their offer, their results. Name the specific expertise.]
Post angle: [One sentence — the claim they could make, in their voice, that brings this gap to the surface]
First line: [The opening line of this post — written in their voice, ready to use]
---
**Gap 2 — The Industry Gap**
[Title: the transfer or crossover]
The bridge: [What principle from their world would land differently in the trending conversation? Why does it apply?]
Post angle: [One sentence — how they'd frame the transfer]
First line: [Opening line in their voice]
---
**Gap 3 — The Perspective Gap**
[Title: what the popular take is missing]
What's wrong with the consensus: [What specific part of the trending take does their experience contradict? Be concrete.]
Post angle: [The counterpoint in one sentence]
First line: [Opening line in their voice]
---
### RECOMMENDED GAP
**Best opportunity:** [Which of the three gaps is strongest for them right now — and why]
**Why this one:** [2 sentences — why this gap fits their positioning, their proof, and their audience's current thinking]
---
## Closing Note
After the output, add:
> "The gap that triggers the strongest reaction in you — where you thought 'yes, exactly' or 'nobody's saying this' — that's the one to write. Run /recreate and tell me which gap you want to go with."
