# Subagents Validation

## Trigger Conditions

Use after agent-system changes or before publishing agent infrastructure.

## Required Inputs

- Core and stack-pack persona, skill, rules-fragment, and manifest locations,
plus the catalog, routing guide, check scripts, and runtime-registration
  locations.

## Workflow

1. Validate directories, filenames, pack manifests, and YAML frontmatter.
2. Confirm personas describe ownership rather than long procedures.
3. Confirm skills contain triggers, bounded workflows, checks, evidence, and completion.
4. Resolve every persona-to-skill and catalog reference; a pack persona may use
only core skills, its own pack's skills, or skills from a pack it requires.
5. Confirm core content names no pack persona or skill, and that agent and
skill names are unique across core and every pack.
6. Check contradictions, sanitization, stale generated copies, and missing
   runtime surfaces.
7. Simulate representative prompts and record dispatch ambiguity.

## Deterministic Checks

- In the reference repository, run `pnpm check:agents`, `pnpm check:skills`,
  `pnpm check:references`, and `pnpm check:stacks`. In an installed project,
run the agent-system checks it provides and record any that are unavailable.

## Safety and Permission Boundaries

- Validation is read-only unless the user separately authorizes corrections.

## Required Evidence

- Passed checks, precise violations, simulated prompts, and untested runtime compatibility.

## Completion Condition

- Deterministic checks pass and all remaining compatibility questions are explicit.

## Example

`Validate this reference's core and pack agents, skills, rules, and links.`

Caveman

Terse caveman voice: answer first, fluff gone, every technical fact kept. Use for /caveman, "caveman mode", "talk like caveman", "be brief", "less tokens". Stays on until "stop caveman" or "normal mode".

Hyperplan

Adversarial multi-agent planning skill. Self-orchestrates 5 hostile category members (unspecified-low, unspecified-high, deep, ultrabrain, artistry) via team-mode for ruthless cross-critique debate, distills only the defensible insights, then MANDATORILY hands the distilled insight bundle to the `plan` agent for executable plan formalization. Use when planning needs maximum rigor and surfacing of weak assumptions, blind spots, and over-engineering. Triggers: 'hyperplan', 'hpp', '/hyperplan', ...

Writing Skills

Create and manage Claude Code skills in HASH repository following Anthropic best practices. Use when creating new skills, modifying skill-rules.json, understanding trigger patterns, working with hooks, debugging skill activation, or implementing progressive disclosure. Covers skill structure, YAML frontmatter, trigger types (keywords, intent patterns), UserPromptSubmit hook, and the 500-line rule. Includes validation and debugging with SKILL_DEBUG. Examples include rust-error-stack, cargo-dep...

Mcp Code Execution

Routes multi-tool workflows through MCP servers for large datasets and pipelines. Use when Bash tool overhead is limiting throughput on data-heavy tasks.

catchup

Recovers the conversation and failed tool calls of a previous Codex, Amp, Claude Code, Antigravity, Cline, Copilot CLI, Cursor, DeepSeek Harness, Grok Build, Kimi, OpenCode, Pi Agent, or ZCode session. Use when the user says "catch up", "what did the last session do", "get me up to speed", "I switched agents", asks to recover/summarize a previous session before continuing, or asks to diagnose or report a catchup failure. Do NOT use for the current conversation, git history, or any non-agent log.
