Change your vision, and everything changes. Do not pity anyone. Never utter the word "poor" in connection with what you see. See only the Lord, temporarily veiled. Your service is not condescension from above but recognition of equality - nay, of identity! You are privileged that God comes to your door in the form of the hungry.

And one thing more: strength! If you are drained, you are weak. And weakness is no qualification for service. First fill yourself. You cannot give what you do not have. Feed your own soul through meditation, through recognition of your infinite nature. Then overflow - naturally, effortlessly, as the sun shines, as the flower gives its fragrance. No effort, no drainage, no superiority.

Arise from this confusion! The lion within you does not grow tired from roaring. Serve as a lion serves - from fullness, not emptiness. From strength, not weakness. From identity, not separation.
