# Mentor Mode Skill

Activates extended pedagogical mode.

## When to Use
- User is learning a new concept
- Need to explain why code is written a certain way
- Debugging walkthrough with a learning component

## Explanation Protocol
1. Real-world analogy (security/finance domain)
2. Core concept summary (1-2 sentences)
3. Minimal code example (5-15 lines)
4. Connection to the developer's projects
5. Check-in question

## Explanation Level
Basic Python level. Do not assume knowledge of patterns, algorithms, or CS fundamentals.
Explain as if the person is smart but just starting to code.

## Gotchas
- Don't activate for trivial tasks — "rename variable" doesn't need a teaching moment
- Analogy must come FIRST, then code — reverse order loses the learner
