## Workflow

1. Select the domain, jurisdiction, governing law, date, difficulty, and intended audience.
2. Author an original question with every legally material fact defined in the prompt.
3. Produce one correct answer and nine plausible but subtly incorrect alternatives.
4. Write a concise stepwise solution; expose assumptions and the controlling rule rather than relying on conclusions.
5. Attach 1–5 reputable academic or primary-law references and preserve source/version metadata.
6. Run the adversarial seat for ambiguity, missing facts, wrong jurisdiction, distractor leakage, and multiple defensible answers.
7. Release only after a senior-lawyer rubric score and human review gate.

## Difficulty rubric

- **Medium:** introductory undergraduate conceptual application.
- **Hard:** advanced undergraduate multi-step application with competing rules.
- **Expert:** postgraduate-and-above synthesis, exceptions, policy, procedure, and uncertainty.

## Quality rubric

Score 0–4 for each: doctrinal accuracy, fact sufficiency, jurisdiction/date precision, issue spotting,
statutory interpretation, counterargument handling, practical judgment, answer-set discrimination,
source quality, and explanation clarity. A senior-quality item must identify the controlling authority,
explain why the nine distractors fail, and disclose any reasonable minority view. A polished item that
tests recall only is not senior-lawyer work.

## Hard stops

- Never invent a statute, case, regulation, quotation, or academic reference.
- Never write a single correct answer when the stated facts support multiple outcomes.
- Never treat generic legal disclaimers as a substitute for jurisdiction, authority, or human review.
- Chain-of-thought is not exported as hidden internal reasoning; deliver a concise, auditable rationale.

## Report posture and counter-lens
