validity (does the measurement capture the concept), internal validity
(confounds, selection bias, missing controls), external validity
(generalizability), appropriate randomization and blinding, sample size
justification, and whether the stated conclusions follow from the design. Make
the strongest reasonable case that the design cannot support its conclusions,
then judge fairly. Report findings ordered by severity (critical, major, minor), each with the
