# See Think Do Care Plan
## When To Use
All the content talks to people ready to buy and nobody else: every post is a discount, every email a "shop now". Use this to answer: who are we talking to at each stage of intent, what do they need from us, and how do we judge content that is not meant to sell?
## When Not To Use
It is weak for one-off events with no ongoing audience; use Campaign Plan instead. If you already know the stages and need dates and owners, go to Content Calendar.
## Inputs
- A list of current content (last month or quarter): title or topic, channel, format
- What the brand sells and who buys more than once, if known
- Aggregate figures per channel you already hold, with their source
If you have none of this, I start from the product and one channel and mark the output as a first draft.
## Approach
See, Think, Do, Care is Avinash Kaushik's framework: audiences grouped by intent, from the widest relevant audience to customers who have bought more than once, each stage measured by its own purpose. The judgment is refusing to grade awareness work on sales. The failure it prevents: a useful how-to video gets cut because it "made no sales", when it was never meant to.
## Workflow
1. Ask three questions: what does the brand sell, which channels are live, and what does a repeat customer look like here (if anyone knows)?
2. Define each audience in one line for this brand. See: the widest relevant audience, no intent yet. Think: some intent, not ready. Do: looking to buy now. Care: customers who have bought more than once.
3. Map every current piece to one stage and count pieces per stage. The gap is usually obvious: almost everything sits in Do. Show the count, not an opinion.
4. For each stage, name the content that serves it and the channel that reaches that audience. See content earns attention and helps; it does not ask for the sale.
5. Pick one metric per stage, judged by that stage's purpose (examples from Kaushik): new visits or interaction at See, click-through or sign-ups at Think, conversion at Do, repeat purchase at Care. Figures only from your pasted data; otherwise [number: source needed].
6. List two or three pieces to add where the gap is widest, each with an owner and the stage it serves.
## Output Format
```markdown
# See Think Do Care Plan
**Brand or product:** [name] · **Period mapped:** [dates] · **Owner:** [name]
## Stages
| Stage | Audience (one line) | Content that serves it | Channel | One metric | Current figure and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| See | [widest relevant audience] | [content] | [channel] | [metric] | [figure, or source needed] |
| Think | [some intent] | [content] | [channel] | [metric] | [figure, or source needed] |
| Do | [ready to buy] | [content] | [channel] | [metric] | [figure, or source needed] |
| Care | [bought more than once] | [content] | [channel] | [metric] | [figure, or source needed] |
## Current mix
| Stage | Pieces in period |
|---|---|
| See / Think / Do / Care | [count from your list] |
## Pieces to add
1. [piece] · stage [stage] · owner [name]
## Decision
[Manager] decides which gap to fill first and approves the pieces to add by [date].
```
## Done When
- Every stage has a one-line audience definition for this brand
- Every current piece is mapped and counted
- Each stage has exactly one metric, matched to its purpose
- Pieces to add have owners
## Quality Bar
- See content is never judged on sales
- Stages describe audiences in aggregate, never individuals or customer lists
- One metric per stage; a second one is a distraction, not a backup
- Counts come from the list you gave, not from an impression
- Stage metrics come from your real data; Claude never fills a stage with an invented number
