# Education and Projects Entries

## When To Use
Your strongest evidence is coursework, and it sits as one line under Education: degree, [university], dates. This skill answers: which modules, which dissertation detail and which projects show what my target roles ask for, and how do I describe my part honestly?

## When Not To Use
For paid, volunteer, society or placement roles, run Experience Entries. For a full one-page write-up of one project, run Project Case Study; this skill writes short profile entries.

## Inputs
- Your module list, dissertation title and question, and the projects you want on show
- Your Experience Inventory rows for these, and your Target Role Brief
- Any public link you are allowed to share (a repository, a published poster, a portfolio page)
If you have none of this, I start from your degree title, three modules and one project, and mark the output as a first draft.

## Approach
TARGETjobs' profile guide advises adding module and dissertation details under Education. LinkedIn Help (Add sections to your profile) covers the Projects section and notes that links go in as media, since the Project URL field is not offered for new projects. The judgment is picking modules by match to the brief, not listing all twelve. The failure it prevents: a group project written as "built an app" when your part was the user research, and an interviewer who asks about the code.

## Workflow
1. Ask at most three questions: which projects you want on show, what exactly your part was in each group project, and whether your result is expected or final and how you want it stated.
2. Education entry: degree, [university], dates, result only as you state it, then three to five modules picked by match to the brief's "shown" words, then the dissertation title with one line on the question and the method.
3. Projects entries: name, dates, associated with (the degree or a role), then two to three lines: the problem, your part ("I" only), the outcome in words.
4. Group work: name your part precisely. Team members are added only once they have said yes; never compare your contribution with a named teammate's.
5. Links: added through "Add media", then "Add a link"; only public material you are allowed to share.
6. Assessed work: describing it is fine; sharing the work itself stays within your university's rules, and anything from a placement follows the employer's confidentiality policy. Legal points: check with a qualified adviser.

## Output Format
```markdown
# Education and Projects Entries
## Education
- [Degree] · [university] · [dates] · [result as you state it]
- Modules: [module], [module], [module]
- Dissertation: [title]. [One line: the question and the method]
## Projects
| Project | Dates · associated with | Lines (problem, my part, outcome) | Team members (consent) | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [name] | [dates] · [degree / role] | [lines] | [name: yes / none added] | [public link / none] |
## Sharing check
| Item | Assessed or placement work? | Allowed to share? |
|---|---|---|
| [item] | [yes / no] | [yes / check module or employer rules] |
## Decision
You confirm each teammate's yes, check your module and employer rules, and add the entries to LinkedIn yourself, before your next application.
```

## Done When
- Three to five modules, each matched to a brief word
- Every project names your part in "I" statements
- Every team member listed has said yes
- Every link and file has passed the sharing check

## Quality Bar
- Module names as they appear on your transcript
- No grade or result you have not been given, stated as you state it
- The outcome in words, never a mark used as a boast
- No confidential placement material, even in a link
- Your part only, never the group's work as yours; sharing assessed work stays within your university's rules.

## Next
Run glink-skills-section (LinkedIn Skills Section) to pick the skills these entries prove.
