# Monthly LinkedIn Review
## When To Use
A month has passed and you are about to judge it by likes. Use this in the last days of the month to answer: what in my work started real conversations, what stayed silent, and what is the one thing I change next month?
## When Not To Use
If your Conversations Log is empty because you did not keep it, start logging and review next month; a review built on memory flatters the posts you liked writing. If you want to share a mistake publicly, that is Lesson Learned Post; this review stays private.
## Inputs
- This month's Conversations Log.
- This month's Content Calendar, marked with what you actually posted and skipped.
- Your Buying Situations Map.
If you have none of this, I start from the posts you remember and the conversations you can name, and mark the review as a first draft.
## Approach
A start, stop, continue review, a common practice with no single originator, run on conversations started rather than reach. The judgment is in the reading: a month is a small sample, so one conversation is a signal to watch, not a law. The failure this prevents is dropping the format that started your only client conversation because it got the fewest likes.
## Workflow
1. Ask three questions: did you keep the log all month, which planned posts did you actually publish, and is there anything that started a conversation you never logged.
2. Join each logged conversation to its source: the post, comment or format, through the Idea Bank link. "Unknown" stays unknown; I never assign it to the nearest post.
3. Lay out the month by format and by buying situation: what went out, what started at least one conversation, what went out and stayed silent.
4. List the silent buying situations plainly. Silence is about the work or the timing, never about the readers; nobody who did not reply is named or judged.
5. Draft stop, start and continue, one to three items each, every item tied to a row in the log or the calendar. You edit, cut and add.
6. Ask you to choose one change for next month and write it in your words, with the skill that carries it. Then flag which ideas the Idea Bank needs more of.
## Output Format
```markdown
# Monthly LinkedIn Review
Month: [month] | Posts planned: [your number] | Posts published: [your number] | Conversations logged: [your number]
## What started conversations
| Post, comment or format | Buying situation | Conversations (from the log) | What they said brought them |
|---|---|---|---|
| [item] | [when ...] | [your count] | ["their words"] or [unknown] |
## Silent this month
| Buying situation | What went out | Note |
|---|---|---|
| [when ...] | [post or none] | [timing, format or nothing posted] |
## Stop, start, continue
- Stop: [item, tied to the log or calendar]
- Start: [item]
- Continue: [item]
Small sample note: [one month, [your number] conversations: read as signals, not proof.]
## Decision
[You choose the one change for next month by [date, before the next Content Calendar], and decide which ideas to restock.]
```
## Done When
- Every stop, start and continue item points to a row in the log or the calendar, and unknown sources stay unknown.
- Likes and impressions are not used as evidence for any item.
- Exactly one change for next month is chosen, by you.
## Quality Bar
- Numbers are your own counts from the log, kept exactly; no rates or benchmarks.
- No person is listed, rated or blamed for not replying.
- The small sample note appears every month.
- The change is concrete enough to show up in next month's calendar.
- Reviews the work by conversations started; never the people.
## Next
Run flink-idea-bank (Idea Bank) to restock ideas for next month.
