> **General reference only.** This skill is general tax/accounting reference material for AI-assisted workflows. ## The base
Start from accounting profit and adjust to net income under the Act. Expenditure is deductible to the extent exclusively incurred in producing gross income (s.18). Annual allowance replaces depreciation (s.24). A loss carries forward 5 income years; the part from annual allowance on capital expenditure from 1 July 2006 has no time limit (s.59). Export formula: gross export income times chargeable income, divided by total gross income (s.44B(2)). From the year of assessment starting 1 July 2027, the exemption at Sub-part C item 57 and ss.67H and 67Q go (Finance Act 2026 s.28(10)). "Export of goods" now excludes live animals and includes shipping without landing in Mauritius and aviation fuel sold to an airline (s.2).
From 19 June 2026 a start-up set up on or after that date in the National SME Incubator Scheme, managed in Mauritius with turnover up to Rs 100 million, is exempt for 10 income years (Second Schedule, Sub-part C item 63).
## Deadlines and filing
1. APS (s.50B): log in to [MRA e-Services](https://www.mra.mu/index.php/e-services) under File and Pay, Corporate. Each of the first three quarters is due within 3 months of the end of the month the quarter ends, with tax. A quarter ending in September or March is due 2 days before the end of December or June, excluding Saturdays and public holidays.
2. June year ends may opt for a fourth APS statement due 30 September (s.50B(5), (6)); the next first-quarter statement then falls due 31 January.
3. Annual return, IT Form 3 family on the [forms page](https://www.mra.mu/index.php/downloadable-forms/income-tax/company-others): within 6 months of the end of the month the accounting period ends, with tax (s.116(1)).
4. June year end: 2 days before the end of December, excluding Saturdays and public holidays; 15 January if no tax is payable or a loss is declared; 31 January if a fourth APS statement was filed (s.116(2) to (2B)).

6. FSC statement (VAT Act s.53P): same quarterly pattern, fourth statement within 6 months of year end.

8. QDMT: notify the designated person within 6 months of fiscal year end; return and payment within 15 months of the end of the month the fiscal year ends (s.50W).
The MRA calendar printed 29 December 2025 for June 2026 year ends, an apparent slip; s.116(2) gives the rule.

## Two worked examples that recompute
**Example 1.** Domestic company, chargeable income Rs 30,000,000, prior-year chargeable income the same, turnover Rs 120,000,000. Tax Rs 4,500,000, FSC Rs 1,500,000, CSR Fund Rs 600,000, CCR before any APS reduction Rs 600,000: Rs 7,200,000.
```oa-check
name: Rs 30m chargeable income, above FSC and CCR limits
inputs:
ci: 30000000
steps:
- tax: ci * 0.15
- fsc: ci * 0.05
- csr: ci * 0.02
- ccr: ci * 0.02
- total: tax + fsc + csr + ccr
expected:
total: 7200000.00
```
**Example 2. Decision: does export income cut the tax?** Gross income Rs 100,000,000 with Rs 40,000,000 from exports of goods, chargeable income Rs 10,000,000. Export share Rs 4,000,000 at 3% is Rs 120,000. Rest Rs 6,000,000 at 15% is Rs 900,000. Tax Rs 1,020,000, against Rs 1,500,000 with no export routing: Rs 480,000 less.
```oa-check
name: Export formula against flat 15 percent
inputs:
a: 40000000
b: 100000000
c: 10000000
steps:
- export_ci: a * c / b
- tax: export_ci * 0.03 + (c - export_ci) * 0.15
- flat: c * 0.15
- saving: flat - tax
expected:
tax: 1020000.00
saving: 480000.00
```

Not yet confirmed: the full list of partial exemption items and their substance conditions in regulations; annual allowance percentages; box-level steps of the company e-return; the exact wording of s.50E tolerance cases. Finance Act 2026 s.28 names no special date for the VAT Act s.53N change that drops the supplies test, so we read it as in force from the Act.
