# Skill: Raise billable-hour efficiency
Non-billable time is the silent margin killer.
## Step 1 — Measure the billable ratio
Billable hours ÷ paid hours, by tech (§3 #3).
## Step 2 — Locate the non-billable time
Drive, restock, rework, idle.
## Step 3 — Fix dispatch and stocking
Route density and stocked trucks reduce drive/restock (§3 #6).
## Step 4 — Re-measure
Track the billable ratio after the change.
## Output
A billable-ratio read, the non-billable buckets, the dispatch/stocking fix, and the before/after.
