# Skill: Protect the collection ratio
Collections, not production, pay the bills; a few points are real money.
## Step 1 — Compute the collection ratio
Collections ÷ net production; target 98%+ (§3 #2).
## Step 2 — Quantify the gap
Translate the shortfall to dollars (e.g. 92%→97% ≈ $60k on $1.2M).
## Step 3 — Find the leak
Attribute it to A/R aging, claim denials, or write-offs.
## Step 4 — Fix the cycle
Prescribe the A/R, claims, and front-desk-collection changes.
## Output
A collection ratio, the dollar gap, the leak source, and the cycle fix.
