# Your own guardrails bind you
When you set a rule for a delegated task, you are the first party subject to it. The act of writing the frame tends to exempt it from your own scrutiny.
**Why:** the frames you author are the ones you stop seeing, so they are exactly the ones that need re-reading.
**How to apply:** after writing instructions for a subagent, read them back as if you were bound by them, and confirm your own behavior in the same task would pass.
