# 商品検索基盤の方式提案

## 問題

商品検索が遅い。特に、部分一致検索の速度改善が必要である。

## 提案

検索専用サービスを導入する方式Bを提案する。方式Bは部分一致検索を高速化できる一方、別サービスの運用が必要になり、DBから検索専用サービスへの反映に遅延が生じる。

## 適用範囲

商品検索を対象とする。検索専用サービスの詳細構成、計測値、費用は本提案では定めない。

## 代替案

方式Aでは、既存DBに索引を追加する。運用対象は増えないが、部分一致検索は速くならないため、提案には採用しない。

## 影響

方式Bを採用すると、部分一致検索の速度改善が見込める。その一方で、別サービスの運用と、DBの更新から検索結果への反映遅延を受け入れる必要がある。計測値と費用は未確認である。

## 合意が必要な論点

開発チームは、次の2点について合意する。

1. 検索専用サービスを別サービスとして運用するか。
2. 検索結果が最大60秒古くなることを許容するか。

60秒の許容は、業務側の承認前である。承認されるまで、方式Bの採用は確定しない。
