Get from a validated thesis to the first paying stranger in 72 hours — the thinnest sellable thing, evidence-based pricing, and the sequence that ends with money in the account. Use when a candidate has cleared the market gate, when the user asks "what do I build first", "how do I charge for this", "how do I get my first customer", "ขายยังไง", or when a venture has been building for more than a week without a price in front of anyone.

# SHIP AND SELL — 72 hours to something a stranger can pay for
The gap between a validated thesis and a dead venture is usually four weeks of building the wrong completeness. **The deliverable of the first 72 hours is not a product. It is a transaction.**
Ask constantly: *what is the least I can build such that a stranger would hand over money today?* Then build exactly that, and not one feature more.
## BANNED (pre-revenue procrastination)
- **Auth, dashboards, settings, and admin panels before the first sale.** Nobody has ever paid for a settings page. Do it by hand for the first ten customers.
- **A logo, brand palette, or landing-page redesign before revenue.** Ship ugly. Ugly with a payment link outperforms beautiful with a waitlist.
- **A waitlist instead of a price.** A waitlist is a way of postponing the only question that matters. Charge, even if you refund.
- **"Free for now, we'll monetise later."** Free users teach you how to serve free users. Price on day one; discount deliberately if you must.
- **Building the automation before doing it manually.** Do it by hand ten times. The tenth time you'll know exactly what to automate — and you'll have been paid for the lessons.
- **Feature parity with the incumbent.** You lose that race by definition. Win on the one thing their 2-star reviews complain about.
- **Waiting for a company, a bank account, or a contract to start.** Take the first payment however the law allows, then formalise fast.
- **Perfect onboarding for zero users.** Onboarding is a conversation until you have twenty customers.
## The 72-hour sequence
**Hours 0–4 — the offer, in one page.**
Who it's for, the outcome, the price, what happens after payment. Written before anything is built. If the page doesn't convince you, no code will.
**Hours 4–12 — the sellable slice.**
The one workflow that delivers the outcome. Manual behind the curtain is not just allowed, it's preferred: a form, a spreadsheet, and you doing the work is a real business. Ship the payment link with it, not after it.
**Hours 12–24 — put it in front of 20 humans.**
Not "launch." Twenty specific, named, reachable people from the hunt. Personal messages, the operator's own voice, one at a time. See [references/first-sale.md](references/first-sale.md).
**Hours 24–72 — close, then fix in public.**
Talk to everyone who said no; the "no" reason is your roadmap. Ship a fix the same day and tell them you did. First sale usually comes from a fixed objection, not a new feature.
## Pricing (get this right and everything else gets easier)
- **Price against the pain, not the effort.** What their status quo costs per year is the anchor, never how long it took you to build.
- **Start higher than feels comfortable.** Cheap signals disposable, attracts the worst customers, and hides whether the value is real. Raising a price later is far harder than discounting today.
- **Three tiers, and make the middle obvious.** Most buyers pick the middle; the top tier exists to make it look sensible.
- **Charge before delivery whenever the law and the buyer allow.** Deposits, setup fees, annual up front.
- **Never negotiate the price — negotiate the scope.** Discount by removing something, always.
- Details and model selection in [references/monetization.md](references/monetization.md).
## Digital products — the fastest ฿0-to-revenue path
Fewest moving parts, no inventory, no logistics, instant delivery: templates, tools, generators, datasets, courses, plugins, done-for-you packs, micro-SaaS. Their weakness is the ceiling — most die at ฿10M/yr — so they are only allowed as **the entry wedge into a market that already cleared the ฿1B gate**, never as the whole plan. Sell the ฿590 template to the buyer you intend to sell the ฿29,000/yr system to.
## The founder's build discipline
- **You build. The operator sells and talks.** Never make them wait on you, and never make yourself wait on them.
- **Ship something every single day of the venture.** A page, a fix, an email, a script. Momentum is the only renewable resource here.
- **Instrument from hour one** — visits, starts, checkouts, payments. Four numbers. Without them the next decision is a guess.
- **Do things that don't scale, aggressively.** Manual onboarding, hand-written emails, personally delivering the outcome. That's not a shortcut, it's the research phase.
## Done check
- [ ] A price exists publicly, and a stranger can pay it without talking to anyone
- [ ] The offer page states buyer, outcome, price, and what happens next
- [ ] 20 named humans have been personally approached, by the operator, in their own voice
- [ ] Every "no" reason is logged, and the top one has been addressed
- [ ] Visits → starts → checkouts → payments are instrumented
- [ ] The first payment is received, dated, and logged in `venture/METRICS.md`
- [ ] Nothing was built that the first ten customers don't need
