## Summary
Implement helper functions that validate core spectra variable data types against MsBackend schema requirements during backend initialization. This ensures type consistency and prevents downstream errors in mass spectrometry data pipelines.
## When to use
When implementing a custom MsBackend subclass and need to verify that spectra variables (e.g., precursor m/z, retention time, MS level) conform to expected data types before exposing them to Spectra objects. Triggered during backendInitialize() after loading spectra variables from external sources (files, databases, DataFrames).
## When NOT to use
- When working with read-only or remote backends (e.g., MsBackendMzR, MsBackendSql) that retrieve spectra variables on-the-fly and delegate type safety to the source system.
- When spectra variables are already guaranteed to be type-correct (e.g., loaded from a pre-validated HDF5 or binary serialized object).
- If implementing a backend that intentionally supports flexible/polymorphic spectra variable types rather than strict schema enforcement.

## How to apply
After loading spectra variables into internal storage during backendInitialize(), call a dedicated validation helper function that checks each core spectra variable against its required type (e.g., numeric, character, integer). The helper should iterate through the core spectra variable set defined by the MsBackend API, extract each variable from the input data structure (typically a DataFrame), and verify its class matches expectations. If a variable fails type validation, raise an informative error identifying the variable name and both expected and actual types. This validation occurs before the backend is returned to the caller, ensuring only type-safe backends proceed to Spectra integration.
