# Life-event coverage update

Run within two weeks of any major life change, coverage that lags reality is the most common gap.

1. **Name the event.** Marriage, new child, home purchase, new vehicle, a move, a new dependent, or a big jump in income or assets. Note the date.
2. **Map it to policies.** Walk data/policies.csv and ask, for each one, what this event changes: new asset to insure, new person to protect, a limit that's now too low, a beneficiary to update.
3. **Close the new gaps.** List what to add or raise, and for big asset or income jumps, whether an umbrella policy now earns its keep.
4. **Update beneficiaries.** A birth or marriage means every policy and account beneficiary needs a fresh look the same week.

Output: the list of coverage changes and beneficiary updates to make, in priority order.
