Autonomous variant of `/wise-pr-create` — detect the PR state for

The body is drafted from the project's PR template; the base branch

Built for unattended ticket→PR runs. Invoked as `/wise-pr-create-auto`
(bare alias) or `/wise:wise-pr-create-auto` (canonical). Use when the
user says "create the PR without asking", "auto-create a PR", or
types `/wise-pr-create-auto`. For the interactive version (base-branch

# /wise-pr-create-auto — create or refresh a PR, autonomously

Before executing, follow [model fallback](../../references/workflow-host-control.md#model-fallback)
for unavailable models or delegation routes, including in autonomous procedures.

At every skill start, identify your main/child role and the current client
and GUI/TUI question tools, then read and follow the
[question lifecycle](../../references/workflow-host-control.md#keep-asynchronous-questions-open).
Keep asynchronous prompts open until answered; this rule does not authorize
questions in autonomous or otherwise prompt-free procedures.

## Why this skill exists

`/wise-pr-create` is interactive — it asks the user to pick the base
branch. An unattended ticket→PR pipeline can't stop to ask.
`/wise-pr-create-auto` is the decision-free variant: it picks the
repo's default branch as the base and never calls `AskUserQuestion`.
It is also the reusable building block the `ticket-auto` workflow's
PR-create step follows.

## Arguments

This skill takes no arguments. Ignore anything the user types beyond
the skill name.

## Run on another harness (`--on`)

If `$ARGUMENTS` contains `--on <harness>[:<model>[:<effort>]]` (or
`--on ask` / a bare `--on`), do
NOT run the procedure below in this conversation. Strip the `--on`
tokens (everything left is `SKILL_ARGS`), then read
`${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/references/dispatch.md` and follow it with:

- `SKILL_MD` = `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/wise-pr-create-auto/SKILL.md`
- `SKILL_ARGS` = the remaining tokens

`--on ask` (or a bare `--on`) picks harness, model and effort through
one composite `AskUserQuestion` before any child spawns — the ONE
sanctioned prompt in this skill: it happens at invocation time, so the
dispatched run itself stays decision-free.
The reference probes the harness login, validates model and effort
against the engine catalog, and runs the procedure as a headless child
via `engine.sh dispatch --relay`. Follow its run, handle any required gates
in the main harness, and relay the final result as specified by the shared
dispatch reference. This does not add routine prompts to autonomous paths.
Without `--on`, this section does not apply.

Before dispatching, run the §0 GitHub remote check here first, so no
child is spawned for a repository with no GitHub remote.

## Procedure

### 0. GitHub remote check

Read `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/references/pr/github-remote.md` and run its
check first. If the outcome is `none` or `other`, print the single
create-variant line from its table and stop successfully; never call
`gh pr`. Only continue when the outcome is `github`.

### 1. Resolve the project + branch

```bash
git rev-parse --show-toplevel
git rev-parse --abbrev-ref HEAD
```

Use the toplevel as `project.path` and the branch as
`current_branch`.

### 2. Follow the shared fragment

Read `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/workflows/ticket-auto/prompts/ensure-pr-auto.md`
and follow it end to end with `current_branch` and `project.path`.
The fragment detects PR state, drafts the body (via
`references/pr/draft-body.md`), and creates or refreshes the
PR with the repo default branch as base. The drafting step mandates
reading `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/wise-human-writing/SKILL.md` —
the body follows those human-first rules; do not skip that read.

### 3. Relay the result

The fragment's final line is `PR-CREATE: number=<n> url=<url>`.
Surface the PR url to the user and stop. Suggest `/wise-pr-watch-auto`
as the next step.

## Guardrails

- Without a GitHub remote, print the one-line notice from
  `references/pr/github-remote.md` and stop; never call `gh pr`.
- Never call `AskUserQuestion` mid-run — the one exception is the
`--on ask` pick before dispatch; this skill is the autonomous variant
  by definition.
- Never force-push, amend, rebase, or retarget an existing PR's base.
- Never invoke another wise action skill.
- Refuse to create a PR from a protected branch (`main` / `master` /
`release*`) that has no PR — stop with a clear message.
- Never draft the body freehand — the `wise-human-writing` read that
`draft-body.md` §5 mandates is part of the procedure, not optional
  polish.
- Profile-insensitive by design: the session token-budget profile (`/wise-profile`) does not change this skill — one mechanical drafting pass; nothing to scale.
