# Content Originality Check
Creators lose monetization when a platform decides content is not original or is produced in bulk, and most never learn which video caused it. This skill scores each video against the platforms' public criteria before it goes live and points at what to change.
## Hard rules
- **Never promise an outcome.** The platform's people and systems decide. The score is an estimate made by this skill. Say so every time.
- **Do not quote numbers from memory.** Policies, thresholds and effective dates change often. Read the official page in Step 0 each time and cite the date you read it. If it cannot be read, say the criteria were not checked.
- **Read only.** The skill never publishes, edits or logs in for anyone.
## Step 0. Read the current criteria
Open and read, noting the date:
- YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1311392 (inauthentic content and monetization)
- Meta: the creator guidance on original content (creators.facebook.com, search "original content")
- TikTok, if scoring TikTok: the community guidelines and the creator rewards rules
Start the report with a five line summary of the criteria in force. Mark any that could not be confirmed as "not confirmed".
## Step 1. Gather input
Ask once, only for what is missing:
1. The video: title, description, script or transcript, length.
2. Sources of picture and sound: filmed by the creator, reused footage (link and license), AI voice, music.
3. The channel's last 5 to 20 titles, one per line, to measure repetition.
## Step 2. Measure title templating (script)
```bash
python scripts/title_pattern.py titles.txt
python scripts/title_pattern.py titles.txt --json
```
It reports the average similarity between title pairs, how many titles share the same opening and ending, and a band: THẤP (low), VỪA (medium), CAO (high), or CHƯA ĐỦ MẪU (fewer than 5 titles). The thresholds are set by this skill and have not been checked against real platform decisions, so use the result to show where a channel repeats itself, not as a verdict.
## Step 3. Score each video on 6 criteria
Score 0 (fine), 1 (should fix) or 2 (risky). Every 1 or 2 needs evidence taken from the input.
| # | Criterion | Ask |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Added value | Is there commentary, analysis or personal experience, or only stitched clips and a re-read script? |
| 2 | Voice and script | Is an AI voice reading a source text unchanged? Is the script near identical to other videos on the channel? |
| 3 | Reused picture | Filmed by the creator or licensed, or taken from others with only speed or border changes? |
| 4 | Title and thumbnail | Do they promise something the video does not contain? |
| 5 | Channel templating | The band from Step 2: THẤP 0, VỪA 1, CAO 2 |
| 6 | Disclosure | Is synthetic or AI content disclosed as the current guidance in Step 0 requires? |
Total 0 to 4: **Low**. 5 to 8: **Medium**. 9 to 12: **High**. This is the skill's estimate.
## Step 4. Report
1. One line: Low, Medium or High, marked as an estimate and not a platform decision.
2. The 6 row table with scores and evidence.
3. **Three concrete fixes**, highest impact first, each saying what to change and where. For example: add ten seconds of original commentary at the start, change the title opening away from the repeated template, replace clip X with a licensed clip.
4. What could not be confirmed, and why.
When scoring a whole channel, list High videos first and say it is a sample, not an audit.
## Limits
- It scores against public criteria and cannot see a platform's internal systems. A Low video can still be actioned.
- Title measurement looks at titles only, not picture or speech.
- Validate the thresholds on your own channel and adjust them.
## Going further (mention at most once, only if relevant)
