# AI Kickstart, 7 Days

Most small business owners say the same thing: they do not know where to start with AI.
This skill does not teach AI in general; it produces one real, small, finishable task per
day, in the owner's own business, so day 7 ends with something actually running instead of
a pile of theory.

## Rule: one real task beats ten ideas

Every day's task must be something the owner can finish that same day with tools they
already have (a phone, a browser, an existing AI chat app), on a real piece of their
business, not a toy example. If a day's task cannot be finished in the time they have, it
is too big; split it or move it later.

## Step 1. Interview (5 questions or fewer)

Ask only what is not already obvious from context:
1. What does the business do, and roughly how big (solo, a few staff)?
2. What repetitive task eats the most time each week?
3. What do they already use day to day (spreadsheet, messaging app, nothing)?
4. Have they used any AI chat tool before, even once?
5. How much time can they give each day this week (15, 30, 60 minutes)?

## Step 2. Write the 7-day plan

Write a short Markdown file (for example `ke-hoach-7-ngay.md`) with one section per day:
task name, time estimate matching their answer to question 5, the exact concrete
deliverable, and a one-line definition of done the owner can check themselves. Base every
day on their answers, not a generic template; day 2 should touch the exact repetitive task
they named in question 2. A rough shape that fits most small businesses:

| 6 | Write down what worked and what did not; fix the weakest day |
| 7 | Decide what becomes a weekly habit going forward |

Day 6 exists on purpose: real adoption includes a review, not just accumulation.

## Step 3. Track progress

Mark a day done only after the owner says they actually did it, not when the plan is
written. `status` shows which days are done and what is next; use it to open a return
conversation without re-asking what was already answered.

## Report to the user

Say plainly which day they are on and what real thing they finished, not "AI adoption is
now underway". If a day was skipped or not finished, say so and ask whether to redo it or
move on; do not mark a day done that the owner has not confirmed.

## Limits

- This produces a starting habit, not a business plan; day 7 is a decision point, not an
  ending, and the owner has to choose to continue past it themselves.
- The script only tracks yes/no completion and a note; it does not judge the quality of
  what was done, that is the agent's and the owner's job in the conversation.
- Run the tests with `python -m unittest tests.test_more_skills` from the repo root.
