## Purpose
Apply Prospect Theory to design pricing, framing, and choice architecture that aligns with how humans actually make decisions under risk — NOT how classical economics assumes they do. ## The Three Core Phenomena

## Core Principles
- **Loss frames are roughly 2x more persuasive than gain frames** — but only when honest about what is actually at stake.
- **Reference point dominates absolute value.** A $99 product feels expensive next to a $50 reference and cheap next to a $200 reference. Reference engineering > price engineering.
- **Probability weighting biases stay constant.** Insurance markets and lottery sales exist because of probability weighting — and so do most "fear of missing out" product flows.
- **Endowment effect.** People value things they already own ~2x more than equivalent things they don't. Free trials work because they create endowment; cancellation flows fail because they extract endowment.
