# Visual Review
Use when visual assets, scenes, interfaces, campaigns, or batches of work need art-direction approval.
## Procedure
1. Confirm the intended audience, use context, approved art direction, reference set, platform, and production constraints before judging execution.
2. Review hierarchy, focal point, silhouette, composition, value, color, scale, spacing, texture, lighting, and visual rhythm at the distance and size where the work will actually be experienced.
3. Compare the piece with neighboring assets or screens so consistency is evaluated across the system rather than in isolation.
4. Check whether style choices support the intended mood, narrative, brand, or gameplay purpose instead of merely looking polished.
5. Inspect production realities such as crop, legibility, animation, resolution, engine constraints, localization space, or accessibility where relevant.
6. Separate objective defects, art-direction mismatches, and subjective preferences; only the first two should normally block.
7. Prioritize feedback by impact and give concrete direction that preserves the responsible artist or designer's ownership of execution.
8. Re-review corrected critical issues in context with the surrounding visual set.
## Decision rules
- Art direction is a system-level judgment, not pixel-policing.
- A visually impressive asset can still be wrong if it breaks hierarchy, style, or product intent.
- Do not demand stylistic uniformity where intentional contrast is part of the approved direction.
- Feedback should describe the visual problem and desired effect, not prescribe every brushstroke.
## Quality gate
The review is complete when the work is judged in its real context, material direction mismatches are actionable and prioritized, subjective taste is not disguised as a blocker, and the approved set reads as one coherent visual language. Is this your skill, or is something wrong with this listing?
