# Media Q&A
Use before interviews, press briefings, announcements, or high-interest media conversations.
## Procedure
1. Define the interview context, likely audience, announcement or issue, spokesperson authority, verified facts, and topics requiring specialist approval.
2. Identify the hardest credible questions, including criticism, comparison, pricing, customer impact, timing, evidence, failures, contradictions, and known uncertainties.
3. Draft direct factual answers first, then connect each to the most relevant message or proof rather than dodging the question.
4. Prepare concise evidence, examples, dates, customer or product facts, and source references the spokesperson can use accurately.
5. Mark what is confidential, legally restricted, unknown, under investigation, or outside the spokesperson's authority and provide truthful language for those boundaries.
6. Test follow-up questions that challenge assumptions or expose vague claims; remove answers that only survive one friendly question.
7. Rehearse aloud for clarity, length, jargon, defensiveness, and whether quotes can be understood out of surrounding context.
8. Define correction and follow-up process if the spokesperson misspeaks or a reporter needs evidence after the interview.
## Decision rules
- Answer the question before bridging to broader context.
- "I don't know yet" can be better than invented certainty.
- Do not put unsupported statistics or commitments into a spokesperson's mouth.
- Media training should improve clarity, not teach deception.
## Quality gate
The Q&A is ready when difficult questions have direct evidence-backed responses, uncertainty and disclosure boundaries are explicit, answers survive reasonable follow-up, language is quotable without becoming misleading, and the spokesperson knows how to correct or follow up on errors. Is this your skill, or is something wrong with this listing?
