# Cross-Medium Consistency
Use when a concept spans multiple craft disciplines or channels and needs coherence without forced uniformity.
## Procedure
1. Identify the non-negotiable concept elements: proposition, emotional tone, narrative logic, visual or verbal motifs, brand signals, and intended audience response.
2. Review how each medium expresses those elements using its native strengths rather than requiring literal repetition.
3. Check message hierarchy and audience interpretation across touchpoints that may be encountered in different orders.
4. Look for contradictions in tone, terminology, visual language, pacing, music or audio character, interaction behavior, or calls to action.
5. Distinguish intentional medium-specific variation from drift that changes the underlying idea.
6. Check transitions and handoffs between media, such as ad to landing page, trailer to product, event to follow-up, or UI to support content.
7. Resolve conflicts at the concept or system level first before asking individual creators to patch symptoms.
8. Update the direction when a medium exposes a genuine limitation or opportunity that should change the campaign system.
## Decision rules
- Consistency means recognizable underlying idea, not identical execution.
- Each medium should contribute something it does well.
- Fix systemic contradictions in direction rather than blaming every downstream artifact.
- Audience experience crosses organizational ownership boundaries.
## Quality gate
The system is consistent when audiences encounter one coherent concept and promise across media, channel-specific executions feel native rather than cloned, material contradictions are resolved at the right level, and variation strengthens rather than fragments the campaign. Is this your skill, or is something wrong with this listing?
