## Output Rules
- **TOKEN EFFICIENCY**: Target <=50 lines per output
- Show FQDN -> route -> service relationships clearly
- Include HTTPProxy status (Valid/Invalid) in output
## Safety Rules
- **Read-only by default**: Use get/describe for inspection
- **HTTPProxy changes** affect Envoy routing after config sync
- **TLS delegation changes** can break TLS for dependent namespaces
- **Never delete root HTTPProxy** without checking for includes

## Anti-Hallucination Rules
1. **NEVER assume resource names** — always discover via CLI/API in Phase 1 before referencing in Phase 2.
2. **NEVER fabricate metric names or dimensions** — verify against the service documentation or `--help` output.
3. **NEVER mix CLI commands between service versions** — confirm which version/API you are targeting.
4. **ALWAYS use the discovery → verify → analyze chain** — every resource referenced must have been discovered first.
5. **ALWAYS handle empty results gracefully** — an empty response is valid data, not an error to retry.

## Common Pitfalls
- **HTTPProxy vs Ingress**: Contour supports both; HTTPProxy is preferred for advanced features
- **Inclusion/delegation**: Child HTTPProxies must be in the correct namespace and explicitly included
- **Status validation**: HTTPProxy status shows Valid/Invalid; Invalid means Envoy won't serve it
- **TLS delegation**: Certificates can be shared across namespaces via TLSCertificateDelegation
- **Rate limiting**: Requires external rate limit service (e.g., Envoy ratelimit) to be deployed
