# Handle cost estimates and consent with clarity

> Range-based estimates, decision tiers, and documented consent protecting animals and practices.

**Track:** ๐Ÿพ Veterinary Medicine ยท **Domain:** Clinical Workflow ยท **Level:** intermediate ยท **~30 min**

**Who this is for:** Veterinarians, Vet Techs, Practice Managers, Animal Welfare Teams

## When to Use This Skill

Range-based estimates, decision tiers, and documented consent protecting animals and practices.
Use it whenever a matching task appears in conversation โ€” the agent loads these instructions on demand.

## Steps

1. Give ranges with what moves a case between low and high end
2. Present tiered options (best / acceptable / palliative) without judgment
3. Document declined diagnostics explicitly with risks explained
4. Never let finances stay implicit โ€” revisit if the case drifts from estimate
5. Offer written take-home summaries of decisions and next steps
6. Debrief emotionally hard conversations as a team

## Common Pitfalls

- Estimates quoted as fixed prices then 'surprised'
- Judgment-laden delivery pushing clients away from care entirely

## Commands

Hyperplan

Adversarial multi-agent planning skill. Self-orchestrates 5 hostile category members (unspecified-low, unspecified-high, deep, ultrabrain, artistry) via team-mode for ruthless cross-critique debate, distills only the defensible insights, then MANDATORILY hands the distilled insight bundle to the `plan` agent for executable plan formalization. Use when planning needs maximum rigor and surfacing of weak assumptions, blind spots, and over-engineering. Triggers: 'hyperplan', 'hpp', '/hyperplan', ...

catchup

Recovers the conversation and failed tool calls of a previous Codex, Amp, Claude Code, Antigravity, Cline, Copilot CLI, Cursor, DeepSeek Harness, Grok Build, Kimi, OpenCode, Pi Agent, or ZCode session. Use when the user says "catch up", "what did the last session do", "get me up to speed", "I switched agents", asks to recover/summarize a previous session before continuing, or asks to diagnose or report a catchup failure. Do NOT use for the current conversation, git history, or any non-agent log.
