Use before quoting a price, applying a discount, answering "how much", or drafting anything with a number in it. Read this so the number you give is the number this workspace would give, and so you never invent a discount that has to be walked back.

# Our pricing and discount rules
Fill this in once. Anything that puts a number in front of a customer reads it first.
```
List price <the number, and what it includes>
Unit <per what: seat, month, event, hour, head>
Minimum <the smallest job worth doing, and why>
Discount you may <the discount that needs nobody's permission>
Discount you may not <where you stop and ask>
Never included <the things people assume are included>
```
## Rules that do not bend
- **Never quote a number that is not in this file.** If the situation is not covered, say the
price needs a person and stop. A wrong number said confidently is a refund.
- **A discount always has a reason and an expiry.** "10% because you're booking three" is a
price. "10% off" is a leak.
- **Never discount to close.** If the only reason for the discount is that they hesitated, the
answer is no.
- **Say what is not included, before they ask.** The gap between what they assumed and what they
bought is where every bad review comes from.
## When someone asks for "your best price"
Give the list price and the one discount they qualify for. Do not open a negotiation, do not
invent a tier, and do not say "let me see what I can do".
