# UI design review
Use when critiquing a screen or component — hierarchy, spacing, states, and whether it reads as intentional.
## Checklist
- Squint at it: does the eye land on the primary action first?
- Check the spacing scale — inconsistent gaps read as sloppy before anything else does.
- Every interactive element needs hover, focus, active, disabled, and loading.
- Limit the type sizes and weights on screen; three of each is usually plenty.
- Align to a grid, and align optically where the grid lies.
- Ask what this screen looks like with zero items, one item, and a thousand.
