# SigNoz Open-Source Observability Platform
SigNoz is an open-source observability platform built around OpenTelemetry for logs, metrics, and traces in one place. It is a practical fit when you want Datadog-style visibility with a self-hosted stack, first-party docs, and active upstream maintenance.
## Prerequisites
Docker, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse
## Installation
Requirements and caveats from upstream:
- Monitor exceptions automatically in Python, Java, Ruby, and Javascript. For other languages, just drop in a few lines of code and start monitoring exceptions.
