# Reduce Coding-Agent Output Cost With Honey

Use Honey to make coding agents emit less code, less prose, and denser agent-to-agent handoffs while preserving correctness boundaries.

## Prerequisites

Node.js, git or archive download fallback, and a supported agent host such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, OpenClaw, Kiro, OpenCode, or Kilo Code

## Installation

Use the documented plugin path for your agent.

For Claude Code:

- /plugin marketplace add Green-PT/honey-for-devs
- /plugin install honey@greenpt

For Codex:

- codex plugin marketplace add Green-PT/honey-for-devs

Then enable honey from Codex's /plugins UI. Prerequisite: Node.js on the PATH for the installer and hooks. For a manual project-level setup, copy the upstream AGENTS.md into the project root or use the matching rule file documented in INSTALL.md.
