# Manage CLI coding-agent sessions with Claude Code Tools

Use Claude Code Tools when an operator needs installable CLI utilities, hooks, skills, and plugins for session management, tmux control, context handling, local safety checks, and cross-agent productivity workflows.

## Prerequisites

uv or compatible Python tool installer; optional Homebrew or Cargo for aichat-search; Claude Code plugin marketplace for Claude-specific hooks, skills, and agents; a supported terminal coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex CLI

## Installation

Install or set up from the source-backed instructions:

Install the core package with uv tool install claude-code-tools. Install optional Google Docs or Sheets support with uv tool install "claude-code-tools[gdocs]". Add the Claude Code plugin marketplace with claude plugin marketplace add pchalasani/claude-code-tools. Install aichat-search separately with brew install pchalasani/tap/aichat-search, cargo install aichat-search, or a prebuilt release binary.
