# BackstopJS Visual Regression Testing Automation
BackstopJS gives agents a repeatable way to capture reference screenshots, compare UI states, and flag visual regressions before changes ship. This skill centers on the real BackstopJS project and turns browser-based layout comparison into a structured QA workflow for web teams.
## Installation
Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:
- npm install -g backstopjs
- First, go ahead and install docker on your machine from the [Docker Downloads Page](https://store.docker.com/search?type=edition&offering=community&architecture=amd64).
- Make sure Docker is running on your machine. On MacOS there is a menu item that looks like this...  right into your node app
