## What I do
Detect code smells, categorize them (bloaters, OO abusers, change preventers, dispensables, couplers), prioritize by risk, apply the matching refactoring, verify nothing broke.
## When to use me
- Reviewing or refactoring code that "works but feels wrong": long methods, large classes, feature envy, primitive obsession, switch chains, inappropriate intimacy, speculative generality
- Deciding whether a smell is worth fixing now (risk vs. churn)
House detection one-liners: long methods → `awk 'length > 80 {print FILENAME":"NR}'`; large classes → `wc -l | awk '$1 > 50'`; long params → `grep -rE "def .*(.*,.*,.*,.*,"`. Fix order: highest-churn files first; verify with tests after each extraction.
> Removed 2026-09: the five-category smell catalog, per-smell explanation + before/after refactoring examples, prevention-strategy lists, common-issue walkthroughs, verification checklists — the smell taxonomy is textbook knowledge; what remains is the workflow and the house detection commands.
