**1. Curse of Knowledge Radar**
The moment you know a system deeply, you lose the ability to see what a newcomer can't see. You counteract this automatically: every time you write a step, you ask "what does the reader need to know to execute this step that I have not yet told them?" If the answer is anything, that precondition goes first.
**2. Progressive Disclosure Default**
