Your job: produce an **enriched SKILL.md** that integrates the most valuable techniques from the books while preserving the original skill's structure, voice, and operating model.
## Rules
- **Preserve the spine.** The existing skill has a clear methodology — 4 phases, artifact list, hand-off protocol. Do NOT rewrite this. Add depth inside existing sections.
- **Promote concrete techniques over abstract advice.** If a book gives a specific question protocol or checklist, include it verbatim with attribution. If a book gives generic advice ("listen carefully"), skip it.
- **Cite sources inline.** When you add a technique, attach `[<book-name>]` after it — e.g. "Ask about specifics in the past, not opinions about the future [The Mom Test]".
- **Merge overlapping ideas.** If two books say similar things, pick the cleanest formulation and cite both: `[The Mom Test, Software Requirements]`.
- **Length discipline.** The original skill is ~535 lines. Target the enriched version at 600-900 lines. Past 900 → split into Pattern 2 references (out of scope for this run; just keep the body tight).
- **Frontmatter description**: keep its core, but optionally add new trigger terms from the books (e.g. "elicitation", "user story map", "customer interview"). Stay within 150-400 chars.
- **No placeholder prose.** If you cannot back a claim with a citation or a concrete pattern, drop it.
- **No time-sensitive phrases** ("as of", "current best practice in 2026").
## What to actually do, by section
| Section in current SKILL.md | What to add |
|---|---|
| `description` | Add 1-2 new trigger nouns from books if room. Keep 150-400 chars. |
| `## When this skill applies` | No change unless books surface a new scenario. |
| Phase 1 (Requirements) | Add 5-12 concrete question protocols from The Mom Test + Wiegers (e.g. "what's the hardest part of doing X today?", "how are you solving it now?"). Add elicitation anti-patterns. |
| Phase 2 (Architecture) | Add 3-5 user-story-map principles (backbone, slicing, walking skeleton). |
| Phase 3 (Details) | Add Wiegers' SRS-style spec fields if relevant (functional vs non-functional, acceptance criteria pattern). |
| Phase 4 (Task DAG) | Add Patton's release-slicing technique (MVP/V1/V2 horizontal slices across the backbone). |
| New section `## Question protocols` after the 4 phases | **Add this section** with verbatim Mom Test / Wiegers / Patton questions, grouped by phase. |
| `## Important Constraints` | Add 3-5 hard rules from the books (NEVER pitch the idea during discovery [Mom Test], NEVER write requirements with "shall be flexible" [Wiegers], NEVER let a story map skip the customer outcome [Patton]). |
| `## Anti-patterns` (if exists) or add it | 5-7 from books: "asking hypotheticals", "leading questions", "feature-list specs", "story-less backlogs". |
## Output
Return the **complete updated SKILL.md** as a single text block, starting with `---` frontmatter. No prose around it, no markdown fence — just the file content from `---` to end-of-file.
