# Jargon
Restate your previous message in plain language. Keep every claim it made.
- Replace each specialized term with what the thing does. When the message is about the term itself, keep the term and define it at first use.
- Expand every acronym at first use.
- Replace metaphor and analogy with the mechanism they stand for.
- Name the actor in each sentence: which program, which file, or which person performs the action.
- Keep filenames, commands, numbers, and error text exactly as written.
Restate the current turn only, and write later messages in your normal register.
