# Adapt Screenplay
## Workflow
1. Read core contract, screenplay craft, style rules, canon, and the complete source material in scope.
2. Create `02_screenplay/adaptation_map.md`.
3. For each major source sequence, record its dramatic function and screen treatment: preserve, compress, combine, externalize, reorder, or omit.
4. Convert internal thought into behavior, image, sound, dialogue, or withheld information.
5. Protect causal choices and relationship turns before protecting surface events.
6. Do not write the screenplay until the map covers the ending.
## Done
Every major source function has an explicit screen decision and no omitted material is silently lost.
